We reached the top of Half Dome by eight A.M. the next morning. The climb up the eastern cable route was spectacular, and we were back in camp by eleven for a lunch of soup and crackers. We laid over in Little Yosemite again that night, and enjoyed the hoots and calls of many a wild camper.

Our last day on the trail found us retracing our footsteps past Nevada Falls and up over Panorama Ridge to Glacier Point to reclaim our cars. We marveled at the construction of the trails, often paved with massive local granite stones, similar to the trail up Yosemite Falls, at left.

Back at Glacier Point, we sipped coffee and snapped photographs of Half Dome and the valley to the Northeast.
